Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz hot espresso
  • 1 oz half and half
  • 1/4 tsp cacao powder
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Melted chocolate and crushed candy canes for rimming (Optional)
  • A sprinkle of cacao powder and coffee bean for garnish

Instructions

  • If rimming the glass, dip the rim in melted chocolate, then into crushed candy canes for a festive look.
  • Add vodka, coffee liqueur, half and half, cacao powder, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Pour in the hot espresso as the final ingredient to keep the ice from melting too quickly.
  • Shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds until well-chilled and frothy.
  • Strain into the prepared martini glass.
  • Garnish with a light dusting of cacao powder and a few coffee beans.

Notes

Pro Tips
  • Chill your martini glass in the freezer beforehand to keep your drink cool longer.
  • Use freshly brewed espresso for the richest flavor.
  • Adjust peppermint extract to taste if you prefer a subtler mint flavor.
