Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 oz mountain apple juice
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • 1.5 oz Dark Rum
  • Mountain apple slices for garnish
  • Lime wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a highball or rocks glass with ice, then pour in the fresh mountain apple juice and lime juice.
  • Stir gently to combine the juices.
  • Slowly pour the Koloa Dark Rum over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the juice.
  • Garnish with a few slices of fresh mountain apple and a lime wedge.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Pro Tips
  • To achieve the perfect rum float, pour the rum slowly over the back of a spoon to create a distinct layered effect.
  • If you can’t find fresh mountain apple juice, substitute it with a similar variety, such as a crisp tart apple juice.
  • Add a touch of club soda for a fizzy version of the cocktail.
