Ingredients

  • 1 ounce bourbon
  • 1 ounce Campari
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • Fresh rosemary sprig for smoking
  • Orange slice for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Place a fresh rosemary sprig on a heatproof surface and light it with a lighter or torch.
  • Once it starts smoking, invert the rocks glass over the rosemary to capture the smoke. Let it sit for a few moments to infuse the glass with the smoky aroma. In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, campari, and sweet vermouth.
  • Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir gently until well chilled and diluted (about 30 seconds).
  • Strain the mixture over a large ice cube into the smoked rocks glass.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
  • Enjoy your Smoked Rosemary Boulevardier!

Notes

Pro Tips

  • Use a high-quality bourbon for the best flavor.
  • Stir the cocktail gently to avoid over-dilution and to achieve the perfect balance of flavors.
  • For an extra touch of flavor, express the oils from an orange peel over the drink before garnishing.
  • Ensure the rosemary is fresh and aromatic for the best smoking effect.
