Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces tequila
  • ½ ounce cognac
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • ½ jalapeño sliced thinly (extra for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon agave syrup
  • 5 cilantro leaves
  • 4 ounces Summer Ale
  • Salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime slices and jalapeño slices for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, cognac, lime juice, agave syrup, cilantro leaves, and ice.
  • Shake the mixture vigorously for about 20 seconds to chill and blend the ingredients.
  • Salt the rim of the serving glass by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into salt.
  • Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top off the cocktail with Summer Ale.
  • Garnish with additional jalapeño slices and lime slices.

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapeño slices according to your heat tolerance.
