A cocktail rumored to be a favorite of Taylor Swift. This cocktail blends floral, citrus, and herbal notes for a refreshingly sophisticated drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Dry gin
  • 2 oz. Lillet Blanc
  • 1/2 oz. Elderflower liqueur e.g., St. Germain
  • 2 oz. Grapefruit juice
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • A few dashes of lemon bitters
  • Lemon Peel Garnish

Instructions

  • Chill Your Glass:
  • Begin by chilling a cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.
  • Mix Ingredients:
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the elderflower liqueur, dry gin, Lillet Blanc, and fresh grapefruit juice.
  • Add Ice and Shake:
  • Add a generous amount of ice to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds or until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  • Prepare the Glass:
  • Discard the ice water from your now-chilled glass.
  • Add Bitters:
  • Add a few dashes of lemon bitters directly into the chilled glass. This will add a layer of complexity to your cocktail.
  • Strain and Serve:
  • Strain the mixture from the shaker into your prepared glass. Ensure you leave the ice behind in the shaker.
  • Garnish:
  • For an extra touch of elegance, consider garnishing with a twist of lemon peel or a thin slice of grapefruit.
  • Enjoy:
  • Your French Blonde is ready to be enjoyed. Sip and savor the harmonious blend of flavors.
