Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vanilla vodka
  • 1/2 ounce coffee liqueur like Kahlúa
  • 1 ounce espresso freshly brewed and cooled
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 oz Mascarpone cream mix together mascarpone cheese and heavy cream
  • Cocoa powder for garnish
  • Few coffee beans for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Chill Your Glass:
  • Begin by chilling your martini glass.
  • Fill it with ice water and set it aside while you prepare the drink.
  • Mix Ingredients:
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, simple syrup, and mascarpone cream (if using).
  • Fill the shaker with ice, ensuring there's enough to cool the drink quickly without diluting it too much.
  • Shake:
  • Seal your shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. You're aiming to chill the drink thoroughly and create a little froth, especially if you've added cream.
  • Prepare the Glass:
  • Discard the ice water from your martini glass, ensuring it's nicely chilled.
  • Strain and Serve:
  • Strain the mixture into your chilled martini glass. A fine-mesh strainer is ideal for catching ice shards and ensuring a smooth texture.
  • Garnish:
  • Lightly dust the surface of the martini with cocoa powder. For an extra touch, you can float a few coffee beans on top as an additional garnish.
