1bottle of chilled white winesuch as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio
4ounces100% Agave silver tequila
2ounceshoneyoptional, adjust to taste
Carbonated water to top off
Instructions
Prepare the Fruit:
In a large pitcher, add the diced mango, diced watermelon, sliced peach, sliced lemon, and sliced lime.
Muddle the Mint:
Gently muddle the mint leaves in the pitcher with the fruits to release their flavor. Be careful not to shred the mint, just bruise it to release the essential oils.
Add the Liquids:
Pour the chilled white wine and tequila over the fruits and mint. Stir gently to combine.
Sweeten:
If using honey, add it to the pitcher and stir well to mix. You can adjust the amount of honey based on your preference for sweetness.
Chill:
Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2-4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve:
Just before serving, give the sangria a good stir. Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice, making sure to get some of the fruits and mint in each glass.
Top off each glass with a splash of carbonated water for a refreshing fizz.
Garnish:
Garnish with extra mint leaves or a slice of peach, lemon, or lime on the rim of the glass.
