Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces diced mango
  • 8 ounces diced watermelon
  • 1 medium peach sliced
  • 1 medium lemon sliced
  • 1 medium lime sliced
  • 15 mint leaves
  • 1 bottle of chilled white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio
  • 4 ounces 100% Agave silver tequila
  • 2 ounces honey optional, adjust to taste
  • Carbonated water to top off

Instructions

  • Prepare the Fruit:
  • In a large pitcher, add the diced mango, diced watermelon, sliced peach, sliced lemon, and sliced lime.
  • Muddle the Mint:
  • Gently muddle the mint leaves in the pitcher with the fruits to release their flavor. Be careful not to shred the mint, just bruise it to release the essential oils.
  • Add the Liquids:
  • Pour the chilled white wine and tequila over the fruits and mint. Stir gently to combine.
  • Sweeten:
  • If using honey, add it to the pitcher and stir well to mix. You can adjust the amount of honey based on your preference for sweetness.
  • Chill:
  • Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2-4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve:
  • Just before serving, give the sangria a good stir. Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice, making sure to get some of the fruits and mint in each glass.
  • Top off each glass with a splash of carbonated water for a refreshing fizz.
  • Garnish:
  • Garnish with extra mint leaves or a slice of peach, lemon, or lime on the rim of the glass.
