Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Red Wine
  • 4 oz Club Soda or Sprite

Instructions

  • Choose Your Wine:
  • Select a red wine you enjoy drinking. A lighter red like Pinot Noir or a chilled Beaujolais works wonderfully because they are fruity and light, complementing the fizz.
  • Add Ice:
  • Fill a large wine glass or a highball glass halfway with ice cubes. This helps keep the drink cool and refreshing.
  • Pour the Wine:
  • Add the red wine over the ice, filling the glass to about halfway.
  • Top with Soda:
  • Complete the other half of the glass with your choice of Club Soda for a less sweet drink or Sprite for a sweeter, more aromatic spritzer.
  • Stir Gently:
  • Use a spoon or a straw to gently stir the mixture, combining the wine with the soda without losing too much carbonation.
  • Garnish (Optional):
  • For a touch of extra flavor and a decorative look, garnish with a slice of lime, lemon, or a few raspberries or blackberries.
  • Serve Immediately:
  • Enjoy your Red Wine Spritzer immediately to make the most of the fizz and chill.
