The Boilermaker is a versatile cocktail that can be customized with different types of whiskey and beer to create unique flavor combinations.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot of whiskey bourbon, rye, Irish whiskey, tequila, or genever
  • 1 glass of beer lager, ale, IPA, pilsner, black and tan, shandy, or any other beer of your choice

Instructions

  • Pour the beer into a pint glass or any other suitable glassware.
  • Pour the shot of whiskey into a shot glass.
  • Drop the shot glass into the beer. You can either drop it directly into the glass or use a depth charge method, where you drop the shot glass into the beer from a higher distance.
  • Drink the cocktail quickly, either by sipping or by chugging it down.

  1. I learned in the Armed Forces that “Real Toughies” bottoms-upped a shot of bourbon out of a shot glass, and then bottoms-upped a can or a bottle of beer, all at once, and not fake low-cal or low-carb imitation beer.
