Chopin
Another Polish selection of potato vodka, Chopin produces several other options showcasing their talents. This family-run brand makes gluten-free vodka with an earthy flavor with mild sweet notes of apple and vanilla, making it an excellent choice for sweet and savory cocktails. Chopin sources all ingredients from local farms within 18 miles of the distillery.
Blue Ice
Blue Ice provides one of the best options if you’re looking for American-made potato vodkas. Operating out of Idaho gives the brand access to the region’s famous Russet Burbank potatoes and water from the Grand Teton mountains. These premium ingredients produce a soft mouth feel and a smooth, creamy finish in the spirit.
Woody Creek
Another vodka distiller in the United States, Woody Creek, uses regional ingredients like other brands on this list. In this case, Rocky Mountain spring water and Rio Grande potatoes create a smooth finish paired with pure vodka flavor. Both feature water from the pristine mountains surrounding the area, but only Grand Teton’s subtly sweet spirit has buttery marshmallow notes. This pristine-tasting vodka is perfect for mixing sweet cocktails or enjoying over ice.
Vesica Vodka
While Vesica Vodka is a Brooklyn-based company, their vodka is imported from Poland. An all-potato recipe means this vodka is gluten-free, and triple distilling ensures a smooth finish. Activated charcoal in the filtration process creates a spirit free from impurities. This vodka features minty notes for a mild sweet taste.
Chase
A truly earthy vodka, Chase is distilled in England with potatoes creating an award-winning spirit. The clean finish of this vodka makes it great for mixing. The creamy and smooth liquor is one of my favorites for making classic martinis. Copper pots are used in the distilling process, perhaps contributing to this vodka’s mineral undertones.
Born & Bred Potato Vodka
Born & Bred Potato Vodka produces their spirit in Idaho with glacial water from the Grand Teton Mountains. The vodka brand was introduced by Channing Tatum and Jack Maloney, though they don’t consider themselves just another celebrity vodka brand. Bron & Bred goes through the distilling process twenty times for a superior smooth finish.
Monopolowa
A Polish-style potato vodka distilled in Austria, Monopolowa goes through the distilling process three times. This process creates a super smooth vodka with a soft mouth feel. Vodka production follows an old family recipe with specific potatoes, resulting in a sweet and dry spirit with notes of citrus and anise.
44 North Huckleberry Vodka
An American vodka brand based in Idaho, 44 North was named for the latitude line where the distillery produces vodka. The sweet and tart flavor of huckleberries blends well with the slight vegetable notes of the spirit. This unique taste makes it a favorite for drinking, served chilled by itself or mixed in a cocktail.
Karlsson’s Gold
A Swedish vodka, Karlsson’s Gold uses new potatoes in its spirit. New potatoes have very thin skins and are harvested before they are fully grown. Using these potatoes results in sweeter vodka with a slightly nutty flavor. While other manufacturers distill multiple times for a refined taste, Karlsson’s Gold only goes through the process once for an extra smooth finish.
Murlarkey Divine Clarity Vodka
Though not a potato vodka, Divine Clarity Vodka made this list because, like potato spirits, this vodka is gluten-free. If you prefer grain vodkas, try this sweet and smooth option made from 100% corn. Operating out of Virginia, Murlarkey specializes in artisanal liquors made from the best ingredients.
Vikingfjord Vodka
Vikingfjord Vodka uses water from an arctic glacier in their potato vodka. This Norwegian import presents a few bitter notes and a sweet nose. The taste of this vodka is more mellow than others, making it a good option for cocktails. Check out their flavored varieties for even more tasty choices.

Another American Vodka brand based in Idaho, Zodiac Vodka, runs a farm-to-bottle business using regional potatoes and water from the Snake River Aquifer. Each bottle uses nine pounds of potatoes resulting in a highly pure tasting spirit. If you’re a fan of flavored vodka, you need to try their black cherry potato vodka, made without added sugar or flavoring.
Tattie Bogle Vodka
Arbikie Highland Estates, a generational family farm, produces all its ingredients and distills potato vodka. The coastal farm uses three different types of potatoes, creating this smooth finish vodka with a rich, peppery flavor. Arbikie Highland Estates named their vodka after the Scottish name for scarecrows, Tattie Bogles.
Spud Potato Vodka
A gluten-free, all-natural brand, Spud Potato Vodka goes through the distilling process five times for a clean and straightforward vodka flavor. This vodka contains a mild vanilla aftertaste, making it a great option for drinking neat or mixing.
