Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 ounces Lambrusco
  • 2 mint leaves
  • 2 basil leaves
  • Lemon peel zest for garnish
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, mint leaves, and basil leaves.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a wine glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Gently float the Lambrusco on top of the cocktail.
  • Garnish with lemon peel zest and additional fresh mint and basil leaves.
