Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup 1:1 sugar to water
  • Pomegranate seeds arils for garnish
  • mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Muddle Mint: In a cocktail shaker, add a few fresh mint leaves and the simple syrup. Gently muddle the mint to release its aroma and flavor.
  • Add Liquids: Add the bourbon, pomegranate juice, and fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
  • Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish: Garnish with a few pomegranate seeds and a sprig of fresh mint.
