Ingredients

  • 2 oz whiskey bourbon or Thai-style rice whiskey
  • 1.5 oz strong-brewed Thai tea chilled
  • 0.75 oz tamarind syrup
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Thai basil or pineapple wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Brew a strong Thai tea, let it cool, and set aside.
  • Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add whiskey, Thai tea, tamarind syrup, and pineapple juice.
  • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with a sprig of Thai basil or a pineapple wedge for an aromatic finish.
