Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila preferably silver
  • 1 ounce Aperol
  • 1 ounce lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce coconut milk
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup adjust sweetness to taste
  • Lime wheel or shredded coconut for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Glass:

  • Rim a margarita glass with lime juice and dip it into shredded coconut if available, or just use salt if you prefer a classic touch.
  • Place the glass in the freezer to chill while you mix the drink.

Mix the Cocktail:

  • In a shaker, combine the tequila, Aperol, lime juice, coconut milk, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, covering the liquid.

Shake:

  • Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds or until the outside of the shaker feels cold.

Serve:

  • Strain the mixture into the chilled margarita glass.
