Ingredients

  • 1 oz spiced rum or brandy
  • 1 oz cognac
  • 1 T batter
  • Hot whole milk to top
  • Garnish with fresh-grated nutmeg cloves, and allspice

Batter Ingredients

  • 3 eggs separated into yolks and whites
  • 3 T powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground allspice
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 3 cups hot whole milk
  • 4 oz brandy
  • Fresh-grated nutmeg

Instructions

Batter Instructions:

  • In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until you see stiff peaks forming
  • Take a separate bowl and beat the egg yolks until they turn lighter
  • Gradually beat in the sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves
  • Take the yolk mixture and carefully fold it into the egg whites

Cocktail Instructions:

  • Rinse a mug with boiling water to warm it up
  • Take a tablespoon of batter and pour it into the warm mug
  • Add the spiced rum or brandy and the cognac to the mug
  • Top it off with heated-up whole milk
  • Stir thoroughly and dust with a fresh-grated nutmeg garnish
  • Serve immediately and relax into the Christmas spirit
