Prepare the Glass:

  • Rim a cocktail glass with sugar. To do this, rub a lemon wedge around the edge of the glass and dip it into a plate of sugar.

Mix the Cocktail:

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, cherry juice, and triple sec.
  • Add a handful of ice to the shaker.

Shake:

  • Shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
