Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 ripe plum pitted and sliced
  • Sugar for rimming the glass
  • Lemon twist and plum slice for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Glass:

  • Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini glass.
  • Dip the rim in sugar to coat it evenly.
  • Set the glass aside.

Muddle the Plum:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced plum and muddle until the fruit is broken down and juices are released.

Mix the Cocktail:

  • Add vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve:

  • Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist and a slice of plum on the rim of the glass.
