Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco or reposado
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz blackberry syrup
  • Sparkling water grapefruit-flavored recommended
  • blackberries and a lime wheel for garnish
  • Salt for rimming the glass optional

Instructions

Prepare the Glass:

  • If you like, rim the glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it into a plate of salt.
  • Fill the glass with ice.

Mix the Cocktail:

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and 1/2 oz of the blackberry syrup.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake well until the mixture is chilled.

Assemble the Paloma:

  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over ice.
  • Top off with sparkling water.
  • Gently stir to combine.

Garnish:

  • Garnish with fresh blackberries and a lime wheel.
