Prepare the strawberries:

  • Hull and chop the fresh strawberries.

Muddle the strawberries:

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the chopped strawberries until they are thoroughly crushed and juicy.

Add the remaining ingredients:

  • Add the gin, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.

Shake it up:

  • Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain and serve:

  • Double strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass to remove the strawberry seeds and pulp.

Garnish and enjoy:

  • Garnish with a lime wheel or a fresh strawberry on the rim of the glass.
