Ingredients

  • 3-4 large Fresh strawberries hulled and quartered
  • 1 Lime cut into wedges
  • 8-10 small Mint leaves
  • 2 ounces Vodka
  • 1 ounce Simple syrup adjust based on your preference for sweetness
  • Club soda
  • Extra strawberry or a lime wheel Garnish

Instructions

  • Muddle the Fruits and Mint:
  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries, lime wedges, and mint leaves together to release their juices and essential oils. Don’t shred the mint into tiny pieces; just bruise them lightly to release the flavor.
  • Add Vodka and Simple Syrup:
  • Pour the vodka and simple syrup into the shaker.
  • Shake:
  • Add ice to fill the shaker halfway, then cover and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. The idea is to chill the mixture thoroughly and mix all the flavors well.
  • Strain and Serve:
  • Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice. You can double strain it if you want to avoid small fruit pieces and mint in your drink.
  • Top Off:
  • Top off the drink with a splash of club soda for some fizz.
  • Garnish and Enjoy:
  • Garnish with a strawberry slice or a lime wheel on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
