Tasting Notes

The Blackberry Spritz is a beautiful blend of flavors. Each sip brings you the juicy sweetness of blackberries, balanced perfectly with the acidity of lemon juice and the effervescence of sparkling wine. It’s a drink that dances on your tongue, offering a refreshing experience with a slight hint of herb from the addition of fresh mint. This cocktail is not just a drink; it’s a sensory journey.

When to Serve

The Blackberry Spritz is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re enjoying a sunny day by the pool, hosting a brunch, or celebrating a special event, this cocktail adds a touch of elegance and refreshment. It’s especially ideal for spring and summer gatherings when you and your friends are looking for something light and bubbly.

Which Liquor Brands to Choose

While the sparkling wine is the star of the show, choosing a good quality brand can make all the difference. For the Blackberry Spritz, opt for a dry sparkling wine like Prosecco or Cava. These wines complement the sweetness of the blackberries and the tartness of the lemon juice beautifully, without overpowering the drink.

  1. Your description also mention soda water but it isn’t in the recipe/instructions. What amount do you recommend?

    • Hi Amy,

Not sure why we put soda water in the description but usually a spritz has prosecco or champagne. You could substitute some soda water to cut down on the booze.
