  • Fill the glass with ice to prepare it for the cocktail.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño slices and muddle them gently to release their spicy flavor.
  • Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and crème de cassis to the shaker.
  • Add ice to the shaker and give it a short, brisk shake to combine and chill the ingredients.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared Collins glass over the muddled blackberries and ice.
  • Top off the cocktail with grapefruit soda, then stir gently to combine the flavors.
