Ingredients

  • 3 lime wedges
  • 5 basil leaves
  • 2 ounces Mezcal
  • 1.5 ounces lime juice
  • 1.5 ounces agave syrup
  • Bacon salt for the rim of the glass

Instructions

  • Place lime wedges and basil leaves in the cocktail shaker and muddle them together to release their flavors.
  • Add Mezcal, lime juice, and agave syrup to the shaker, followed by a generous amount of ice. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
  • Moisten the rim of an old fashioned glass with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into bacon salt to coat it evenly.
  • Fill the glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a few basil leaves. Serve immediately.
