Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz orange juice approximately from 1/2 orange
  • 3 jalapeño slices
  • 2-3 large strawberries sliced in half or fourths
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup

Instructions

Prepare the Glass:

  • Rim a glass with salt or sugar, depending on your preference. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it into a plate of salt or sugar.

Muddle the Ingredients:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño slices and strawberries.
  • Muddle them together until they are well crushed and the juices are released.

Add the Liquids:

  • Add the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.

Shake the Cocktail:

  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.

Strain and Serve:

  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass over fresh ice.

Garnish:

  • Garnish with a strawberry slice and a jalapeño slice on the rim of the glass for an extra touch.
