Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz strawberry syrup
  • strawberries diced, for muddling and garnish
  • fresh basil leaves for muddling and garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, diced strawberries, and basil leaves.
  • Use a muddler to gently crush the strawberries and basil, releasing their fresh flavors.
  • Add the lemon juice and strawberry syrup to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously to chill and mix the ingredients.
  • Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice, or serve straight up in a chilled coupe glass for a more elegant presentation.
