Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 small lemon thinly sliced
  • 1 large peach thinly sliced (pit removed)
  • 5-6 large strawberries stems removed and thinly sliced
  • 6-8 Rainier cherries pits removed and sliced in half
  • 1 bottle white wine drier wine such as Sauvignon Blanc preferred
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces simple syrup optional, adds sweetness
  • 8 ounces soda water

Instructions

  • Prepare the Fruit:
  • Thinly slice the lemon, peach, and strawberries. Halve the cherries after removing the pits.
  • Combine Ingredients:
  • In a large pitcher, add the sliced lemon, peach, strawberries, and cherries.
  • Add Liquor:
  • Pour the white wine and vodka over the fruit. If you prefer a sweeter sangria, add the simple syrup to the mix.
  • Chill:
  • Allow the mixture to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. This step is crucial as it lets the flavors meld together, enhancing the overall taste.
  • Add Soda Water:
  • Just before serving, stir in the soda water to add a refreshing fizz.
  • Serve:
  • Serve the sangria over ice, ensuring that some of the fruits make it into each glass.
  • Garnish (Optional):
  • Garnish with additional fruit slices or a sprig of mint for an extra touch of summer.
