Ingredients

  • 2 ounces dark rum
  • 6 ounces hot apple cider
  • 1 ounce Pumpkin Pie Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • Whipped cream and Pumpkin Pie Sauce for garnish

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the softened butter, dark brown sugar, Pumpkin Pie Sauce, cinnamon, and freshly grated nutmeg until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Set aside.
  • Bring 6 ounces of apple cider to a boil.
  • In your desired glass, add a heaping tablespoon of the spiced butter mixture to the bottom of the glass.
  • Pour in the dark rum, followed by the hot cider, and stir until the butter mixture is fully incorporated and smooth.
  • Top the drink with whipped cream and drizzle with extra Pumpkin Pie Sauce for a rich, festive finish.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the warm, spiced flavors of this decadent Pumpkin Spice Hot Buttered Rum.
