Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Tequila
  • 3 ounces Orange Juice
  • 1 ounce Strawberry Puree
  • Strawberry slices and Orange slice for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Glass:
  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill
  • Mix the Drink:
  • Combine the tequila and orange juice in a cocktail shaker
  • Add a handful of ice cubes
  • Shake well to mix and chill the liquids
  • Layer the Strawberry Puree:
  • Pour the strawberry puree slowly over the back of a spoon directly into the glass of mixed tequila and orange juice. The goal is to create a layering effect, with the strawberry puree settling at the bottom. This will create the beautiful sunrise effect as it slowly blends with the orange juice.
  • Garnish and Serve:
  • Garnish with a slice of strawberry on the rim of the glass and an orange slice if desired
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the visual delight as the colors blend, resembling a sunrise
